Thanks for your review, I did go to best buy at one point to check it out, and of course, the SL1 was the only one NOT working at the time!
4 frames per second would actually be a huge difference from what I currently have to deal with, so thanks for the info.
I don't know if i'd try flipping the lens for macro, all the things I would be taking macro pictures of would be outside and I wouldn't want to expose the lens to the elements like that. I'll probably just save up some more for a nice macro lens instead.
Mostly I really want to upgrade from my Canon SX30 IS point and shoot to a dslr that I can be sure will be faster at focusing and shooting. With it being my first dslr camera and having a budget of under a thousand dollars, I don't have a lot to choose from, and it would be good for me to get an entry level so I can learn how to use it.
I plan on buying the bundle off the Canon website:
EOS Rebel SL1 EF-S 18-55 IS STM Lens Kit with EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS STM
Do you have either of the lenses in this kit? and how much do you like them?
Thank you again for taking the time to answer these questions!
